Too expensive! For a Symbian device Very Confused

Even though you can spend the AED 4000 to buy a decent Laptop you cannot justify this pricing strategy. I even think PDA2K is expensive at AED 3250.

I expect i-Mate Jam to be a hit in the market if it was priced at AED 2500.

but that is the trick here..get people to WANT the product sell it for mega bucks..promise that its the cheapest price on the planet and then 2 weeks later slash the cost....just look what happened with the 7610 started @ DH2900 (cost at that time in the EU incl 17% VAT was 2450) now less than 1800 !

and its not nokia thats maken all the profit !!!

current cost on expansys is DH3088 and they are WAY over the top on cost...found an offer on a german page for 610E = DH2885 (713E = 3371.495 including EU VAT!!!)and it will be available there on monday next...

so are they way over the top here, well yes, they are selling it again here more exspensive than in the EU and that includes VAT !!!!

so what happened to the low cost of living here in Dubai...think we are all being used by these people to get rich quick.... On Fire

Here we have a good market for mobile devices in Dubai, unfortunately those people want to take advantage of it in a bad way, I hope there will be more regulations against those retail stores they really give a bad name for the market here. For example, some restaurants or cafeterias in Dubai will jack-up the prices during the Dubai Shopping Festival! They miss understand what the festival is all about: discounts and promotions. It is also ignorance; they don’t know theses days customers are educated and aware of what they are buying, especially those visitors who want to compare the prices. Those retails stores are very greedy and they want to make fast profits on the expense of Dubai’s reputation.

I know a committee who is working to investigate and issue proper fines against them. And don’t forget, it is also our role in PPCD to spread the awareness. Smile

Hi Guys

Are you sure! of this pricing for Nokia 9500!??
Cos as far as i know from Axiom people it's for AEd. 3,000 or 3,100 max well within range of PDA2K

Funtions wise I think PDA2K is teh MOSt advanced in the market so Nokia has ot have pricing lower

I've been using Nokia 9 series for last 6 years now and ws waiting to make my final Decision between SE 910i, Imate PDA2K or Nokia 9500?
