Due to the recent changes on Pocket PC Dubai I have updated the “About Us” Page to prevent any confusion about what we are publishing on the site. The following update was added:

Pocket PC Dubai was founded by Mohammed Al-Ashram in November 3, 2003. Pocket PC Dubai is a Weblog, Community Forums and a Web Magazine. We cover everything related to mobility Gadgets from Microsoft Windows such as Windows mobile for Pocket PC, for Smartphone and Windows for UMPC or Ultra-Portable PC (UPC).

When Pocket PC Dubai was launched it was the first Pocket PC enthusiast’s site in the Middle East. The site gained a huge popularity from publishing articles, detailed reviews, exclusive reporting of future devices, covering of exciting events, helpful forums, excellent admin team, tons of articles published by forum members, openness, honesty and credibility. Pocket PC Dubai is very strict against anything that violates any law including software piracy.

What we publish on the site?

Windows Mobile Pocket PC & Smartphone:

We cover devices based on Windows Mobile platform which is a compact operating system combined with a suite of basic applications. The site started with a focus on Pocket PC (PPC) and Pocket PC Phone Edition (PPCPE) of Windows Mobile, it is a handheld-sized computer (Personal digital assistant PDA) that runs a specific version of Windows CE operating system. Then we expanded the site with the addition of Smartphone section. Windows Smartphone is a full-featured mobile phone with personal computer like functionality. Those devices are designed to be somewhat similar to desktop versions of Windows.

Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC):

Smaller tablet-style PCs running the full version of Windows, they are called ultra-portable PCs, ultra-personal PCs, ultra-mobile PCs, and other things but most commonly they are called Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) which is hardware and software specification created by Microsoft to standardize the platform and create a new category of mobile computing devices. Similar to what it did with the Pocket PC and Smartphone.

Pocket PC Dubai is administrated, moderated, published and operated by the following contributors:
