Driving along the Corniche must be such a pleasure after the reclamation and the facelift it got.
Btw, why is it that you commute by cab? AD traffic isn't that bad, is it?

Corniche is still gettin finishing touches parks etc all the way along it Smile
I travel by Taxi (5Dh virtually anywhere in town)as the Mrs has the 4x4 for the school run etc. Trafic is VG in AD only parking is a problem, so Taxi is easier besides I was off to the beach for lunch Big Grin

The slanted Big Grin ADMA building must have one of the best glass fronts at night it's excellant.

Dont know only a few years back Dubai seemed so spread out compared too AD now it seems so conjested. Has the permanent/working population increased that much proportionally, obivously property has or has just more people taken to the roads as taxis and rent has increased so people comute futher.

hehe...took me all night. I had already tried to get the "grain" out with just photoimpact, but, then I got a PhotoStudio cd in the mail. Literally, I have over 15 hours in those...stupid, huh? LOL

Ahhhh, the truck. I want one of those, really want one. I'm having a hard time justifying the price, though. Mine's paid for, it's in great condition, and only has 550k mi. on it. The Volvo sells for about $140k, and things are very bad in the marketplace right now. So, I'm just not confident enough to commit to that kind of an expense.
But, let me tell you, nothing is as quiet, as smooth, and handles as well as the newer Volvos. ARRGGHH!!!

Isn't that interior awesome?

Oh, I forgot. I also use a program called The Panorama Factory by Smokey City design. It allows you to take pictures in sections and then "stitch" them together. The normal useage is for making a wide picture out of several smaller ones. It's also good for taking several smaller shots, like with your KJAM, and then "stitching" them together in a larger, better quality, one. Or, you can make a "panorama" portrait, among other types. Only your imagination is the limit.

Did not even know Volvo make trucks like these always thought you had to have US makes MAC's etc as you never see them in Europe. The 15 hrs was worth it the pic's look nothing like from a PDA

We've had Volvo's for many years. My Father even drove a Volvo Viking in the late 50's and early 60's.

Funny how things come full circle. My dad loved Volvo's and Mack's. Today, Volvo owns Mack.

We used to have, imo, better quality products here, but no more, that was "old America"..kinda like "old Europe"...LOL

A few years ago, Volvo was floundering. They sold their auto divison to Ford, and now concentrate on Commercial vehicles...construction equipment, trucks, busses, etc. That effort has paid off, I think they are the highest quality, best engineered truck we can buy.

Now, if they can just lower the price a bit...Smile
