Hi Mouse,
Thanks for getting back to me. I did manage to find an online store in Dubai that posts to around the world for around $AUD1000. However, since the O2 Trion costs the same I decided to go for that instead and bought it (waiting delivery from germany - from ebay). I waited for a year for a phone just like Samsung sgh-i750 - but then decided it was too outdated for me (eventhough every1 says sgh-i750 is very stable and has A2dp, etc). I wanted to be more futureproof than the sgh-i750 could offer. .... |

Dear njay22,
Congratulations for your O2! I also must admit that you have chosen a well respected phone/PDA. In fact, I was going to buy it until I found my Samsung. Indeed, I concur with you that it does not have the latest, but for me, it is delivering excatly what I walys wanted. I guess this is all what anybody should look forward in having, i.e. to meet ones expectations. Again, congratulations and may it brings you all the time good news and you sue it in good health and propserous state. All the best, Mouse |

no I bought it from ebay.com.de; wasn't very happy cause the guy had just taken a german version Trion and ROM'd it with a DOPOD ROM (and so also cancelled my warranty) ... yes it is a QWERTZ keyboard... anyway
but now there are many more QWERTY ones available - in eBay try searching around the world for tytn, trion, and ORANGE SPV M3100(see eBay item nbr. 110022229328) I live in Australia ... |

Dear Pocman,
it's good to hear from you. Do I have for you a categorical answer, well NO! Despite the fact that the sliding mechanism does fall under the warranty (at least for a while), I guess it will depend on the dealer and his strength when you deal with him with reference to a mulfunction or that sort. However, let me assure you that until that moment, although the phone has been with me for over a month now, I have been driving the sliding door to the extreme and gladly, it is as solid as a rock. But then, it has been a month!!! To recap and as I mentionned earlier, I do believe that this Samsung is a wonderful piece of technology. I will give credit where credit is due and say that until this moment, I was not obliged to do a soft reset At your disposal if you need any addtional information. All the best, Mouse |
