I can read pocket Quran but I don't know whether u can view Arabic sms or not. I don't think without Arabizer you cannot view Arabic.

Asked someone to send me an Arabic sms and it was not displayed correctly. The Arabic characters were there but did not form a word like linked togather. So you need Arabizer to view Arabic text.

hi suhaib... i just got a new TyTN 2... i skipped the first ROM upgrade and directly updated my device to Windows Mobile 6.1... my phone works fine but it does not conect to the MTC kuwait GPRS service... do you think there wud be a problem because i skipped the ROM update or would you recommend trying out something else..

Cybertooth, it could b something else. Please check your settings. I'm able to connect to Zain (MTC) GPRS in Bahrain without any problem.

Hey thanks Sohaib... i managed to figure out the problem.. MTC only had auto settings for Nokia and Sony Ericcson mobiles so i used my old sony ericcson mobile with the MTC sim and wrote down the access point settings for GPRS.. now it connects like a charm...

Another question i had was regarding the GPS.. i thought when you access the QuivkGPS program it opens up the country map just like in the Nokia's but i suppose you have to purchase or download additional GPs browsing software to use that functionality.. can you suggest something for the TyTN II

Just wanted to update that Windows 6.1 that was prevously not available for some device owners, mostly those who purchased their devices from dubai, is now available on the HTC website.

However, the question is: is this the same WWE version that was let loose on us in May or the new updated version that has just recently been updated for these other htc users.

The one released for us (me included) is still the WWE version and no hint of any Arabic interface as yet.

i've done some snooping and it seems that this one being offered to me is the new one with a different radio version: Radio 1.65.17.56 as compared to the previous one Radio 1.65.16.25.

Can someone who's got the previous rom installed confirm this info.

Azhar, you are right. The radio version is new. I've 1.65.16.25.
