The new ROM update includes a Microsoft Adaptation Kit (AKU) upgrade, DTMF tones for the Tilt's QWERTY keyboard, optimized Bluetooth, and overall improvements to device performance and stability

My ROM looks nothing like the one in the picture on HTC site (see picture below) BTW my one is dated 28/08/07 and no external rom

I guess this is the WWE one and not AE

Rom Vers 1.56.405.5
Rom Date 28/08/07
Radio Ver 1.27.12.11
Protocol ver 22.45.88.07H

Well the original (existing) ROM on my device shows the following:

Rom Vers 1.81.415.4 WWE
Rom Date 10/29/07
Radio Ver 1.27.15.32
Protocol ver 22.51.88.13H

Under these circumstances, I believe I don't need to upgrade, right?

Your guess is as good a mine Smile

I'm not upgrading as nothing seems to be falling over and there is nothing clear about the upgrades IMO, your ROM date is newer too

MAybe the AE version is more important for the Arabic users ??

I'm also not upgrading as there is nothing seems to be wrong with my current ROM (although it is same as Steve's). Also the pain of installing of all the software again.

You can download the added value application by clicking on the Download button.

The installer below includes the following applications:

· Pocket Holy Quran

· Islamic Prayer Times

· Islamic Hijri Date

Please Note that your device has to support the Arabic Language, ability to read/write Arabic, for the applications to work properly.

Muhammad / Steve,

Is it not strange that the 'Rom' as per Muhammad's upgrade still appears older than my ROM details posted above (Though the rom date is exactly the same).

I bought mine in Dubai in Dec 2007.

Why would HTC be doing this? or is it because mine is an English version and Muhammad's Arabic?
