Muhammad, is it possible that you would still have the rom upgrade file that you used to upgrade in March this year, with the folowing info: Rom Vers 1.81.415.4 WWE Rom Date 10/29/07 Radio Ver 1.27.15.32 Protocol ver 22.51.88.13H If yes, could you please mirror it, I badly need to upgrade to this version and its no longer available on HTC website. Thanks a bundle |

Thanks Steve.
You're absolutely spot on, I got it from XDA, the only issue being that it was without a radio. Lucky for me, earlier in this thread, I had posted the full details of my original rom (that came from the factory) & I was able to get my radio details and flashed the same one separately (also from xda). Thanks a lot for your continued help |

Hello,
First post after reading alot on here and on XDA...I bought my TyTN II in Dubai in December 2007 and (foolishly) upgraded to WM6.1 last month from the HTC support site. Notwithstanding the fact that you immediately lose out on the pre-packaged FJE Arabic app, the threaded conversations and lack of a noticeable performance boost made me regret the upgrade. I found the 1.81.415.4_WWE_Taiseer_Arabic_No_Radio.rar ROM and the KAIS_Radio_Only_1.27.15.32_CustomRUU.rar files online somewhere My question is twofold: Seeing as how this was the original ROM that came shipped with the device, do I need to do the HardSPL when I try to flash it back? (I didnt when I loaded WM6.1 from the HTC site). Also, bit of a noob question here, but better to measure twice and cut once...what's the procedure for loading the ROM and the Radio files separately? I'm somewhat interested in playing around with some of the Dutty/Hyperdragon III ROM's, but I need Arabic to be enabled in order to make sense of the odd Arabic SMS's I occasionally receive. I'd much rather have a stable, working phone than deal with a buggy/amateur OS...any thoughts on the benefits of upgrading to these 'scene' ROMs? Thanks in advance... Sayf |

Hi Sayf,
In general we don't support users upgrading or hacking their software simply because it can render your device unusable and more importantly cause you to forfeit your warranty. That said, since you did an official ROM upgrade and have conveniently found the original Arabic RU files, there won't be a need to tinker with the HardSPL. You only need to HardSPL when you are installing ROM's from a different vendor. As for installing RU and Radio update seperately, its something i wouldn't suggest you play around with. Docc. |
