In the i-Mate review,
http://www.pocketpcdubai.com/i-mate_PPC/i-mate_review.html

it mentioned that you could use an expansion pack with it similar to iPAQ expansion pack for like pcmcia cards and a vga out adapter. Where can you buy this expansion pack at? I cannot find it. thanks,

This doesn't answer the question he wanted to know. Where can we buy it?

Not at the link you gave, nor the one on there (click here to buy this .. doesn't have any XDA II accesssories).

I hope I didn’t misunderstand you. There are few online stores offering this accessory, here in Dubai if you want exact location I can guide you. If you want to order it online you might find it in Tek n’ Toys or expansys.

Mohd,
Sorry to trouble you, but I also need the Expansion Pack and a replacement battery for my brand new i-mate.
I checked with "my-xda", "Tek n'Toys" and "Expansys" with no sucess.
Do you know any other way to make an international order paid by Visa or Amex?
Tks RMC

Guys,

I went shopping yesterday looking for the Backpack, I checked with Plug Ins, and few other computer shops. They don't have it yet, the majority promissed to bring it by next week. It could be availabe in Al-Ain Center, actually I didn't check there however you will have to search!

Well the good news, you can still order it online, I just came accross this article in PPCW.Net check it:

http://www.ppcw.net/index.php?itemid=1634

It will be availabe with ORA including more accessories:

http://www.ora.co.uk/

Details will be up on the Ora website very soon. Smile

Personally I wouldn't buy it, it's just too THICK, even if you do get an extra battery and a CF Slot. However, if the price is low, I think it's an accesory worth getting 'just in case'

When I had my iPaq, I got all kinds of accessories including the VGA out card and keyboard as well as the PCMCI expansion backpack. I also got the 2GB extra memory- Didnt really use them effectively. The PocketPC is a nice notebook replacement theoratically, In reality, you need the notebook for any serious work or presentations. Be careful.
