HP Middle East plan to release the new GSM/GPRS based iPAQ which is discussed here. The launch date is not confirmed yet but I was told by HP that it will be released in April 2005. The full specifications of this device are not confirmed but rumors say that it will come with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, 520 MHz processor, 1.3 mega-pixel camera, 240 x 240 pixel screen, 1,200 mAh swappable battery, built-in keyboard, two memory slots (SD and Mini SD), flipcover, GPRS/GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), EDGE and Bluetooth but no WiFi.
I personally think this would be a very practical Pocket PC Phone. If there is any new information revealed I will update you.

You forgot to mention GPS which is built in But how good it is on this 240 by 240 screen!
not even close dude. read my post in the news release thread...
btw, notice how everything is always regarded as a treo killer when perception of the product is good? could it be because the treo is to the smartphone market what the ipod is to the mp3 market? hmmmm :-)

Yes. Because Treo is a good example of how a “Smarter” phone should be built. I guess Microsoft and it’s partners begin to realize the importance of this category which comes in the middle of Pocket PC Phone and a Smartphone platforms.
