unfortunately I lost patience and bought the jasjam already! let me see if I get a chance so that I can give it away for a nice price and look for a O2 device, this does not mean jasjam is bad, but the only thing is that the hard keyboard which i am not using at all which also adds to its thickness....initially before i bought i thought it would be a real help but i am very comfortable using the soft keyboard itself and that too TenGo is even easier for me, same like T9 text inputs....speed and everything is good in that though in the benchmark test i did, its still way behind O2 and only confirms the benchmark stats that was published in one of our forums comparing it with ASUS P525...but practically i dont see any lag...and decided i will not worry about the benchmark results....at the end of the day its not the stats that help us its only the practical usage which is good in jasjam, still waiting to take even more compact device like xda atom exec.. tongue

Pocman,

I like your approach, you have analyzed the best device for your needs and choosed the exact time of period for buying a PDA, and thats good, and don't regret it, otherwise you will be waiting for the next best thing forever! Please note that the lifecycle of an average PDA is 6 months only, many people decide to buy a new device after 6 months, espcially that Pocket PCs have good resale value in most situations.

I believe you purchased your device sometime during September?

My point is that "currently" after all of the new announcments, after ETEN Glofish, O2 XDA Flame, htc new devices in the ME and all of this hype about new device it will be worth waiting for the beginning of 2007 which is approximatly less than two months to go.

Yes Mohammed,
I do agree, and I dont want to get stuck in the mentality of waiting for the next best device as I already feel the urge, I should control myself...you rightly pointed I bought it in september and as you said I was analysing for more than a year for a right device with all the ingredients and finally found JASJAM, initially prefered to go for ASUS P525 because of it numeric keypad and did not mind the absence of EDGE and 3G as I thought with etisalat around it will not be used....as the days kept flying and ASUS kept delaying the launch...we heard about Du getting ready for the 3G era...and also got a chance to get the JASJAM (Still tried all I can to get hold of TyTN, checked with the rep for HTC here in dubai of any words of its introduction here but the person said no plans as yet, then) for a good price when you also hinted me thats a good price and also guessed all of the new devices in horizon will definitely be near the AED 2700 mark but without all ingredients therefore I went for JASJAM. Its a good device but the closest one to this as I perceive is the Atom exec...hope du will help us taste 3G then I think I wont regret for buying this device.
