I wasnt aware that the Imate PDA2k has SUPERB battery life I guess mine is defective. I was comparing it to a Blackberry as that is what it is primarily targetted at. It isnt even in the same league as the PDA2k

I read most comments on the forums admiring PDA2K battery life compared to PDA2 and i-mate PPC

Has anyone noticed that other information in that powerpoint slideshow is wrong? For instance, on slide 14, it shows the MPx220 with the correct picture but the stats of the vaporware MPX PPCPE (PPC2k3SE, 320x240 2.8" screen, etc.). And on slide 4, it shows the Siemens SX66/Harrier/"whatever your wireless service calls it" with a 176x220 2.2" screen. My hopes just plummeted. This would be a great phone with it's stated features, whether it's a smartphone or not. But I can't say that the slideshow is a reliable source. I still think the phone will come out, but I don't think it will come with all the stuff we think it will.

IHMO the new RAZR is "a little bit photoshopped"
The specs belong to a PocketPC PhoneEditon, but the "Sceenshot" is definitely belonging to a Smartphone.
What do you think?

This is why I’m somehow confused

I believe they are still not planning to release it anytime soon however I think this presentation was done long time ago and now there could be something in the pipeline to release two versions: pocketpc and smartphone

Lets wait and see, I guess it is worth waiting for

Guys...just to make it QUITE clear the name RAZR is already in USE its the V3... there is a whole line of products based around the RAZR but they all have thier own names PEBL is the flip phone , but they are all based on the same platform same as the V66... therefore there will never be a product smartphone or not called the RAZR..as the RAZR is already available in the merket !

according to my sources its all just a "Whish" and no product will be available soon..there are plans however to bring a product with similar design elements as showen but not any time soon for the GSM market at least.

All th ebigboys are trying to bring "BlackBerry" type products to the market and as of the next release of M$ software there is no difference between what we know today as smartphones and PDA based product, therefore touchscreens and keyboards and STRANGE screen resolutions can be mixed into the one product as can already be seen on the HTC Uni and the HP65xx or the New T-Mobile SDAII

I agree with you I don't think there is anthying coming soon from Moto

I still believe this could be a Pocketpc phone not only a Smartphone because looking at the specs the processor and memory with the whole features I also got to know recently that the buttons and home screen layout can be changed on WM5 and customized to fit the layout, maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think Motorola dropped their plans to produce an MPX replacement
