I want one, if only to try this out-of-the-ordinary design!
We must support it, because if it works I'm sure Motorola will correct the current mistakes and come out with the perfect device!

If Motorola R&D budget depends on you and me to finance, than its definitley not worth buying

The reason why I am excited is that I want to try this totally new concept, to me this is very inspiring and I am planning to pay for it if it comes to our shores. I can imagine how I can make use of such concept on daily usage. Here is what I think of this device:

What’s positive?
  • Dual hinge makes it practical to swap from mobile to PDA operation
  • As a result of previous point the MPX can work as phone more than a PDA or as a PDA more than a phone
  • It should have a long battery life because of its OMAP processor (though this could be a negative point)
  • 1.3 Mega Pixel Camera with flash!
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GSM Quad Band makes this truly a wireless powerhouse
  • Keyboard horizontally and Keypad vertically in the same time for one hand operation
  • Two display screens

There are a lot of features that may attract you to this device in addition to its form factor. You might get a better picture in functionality if you compare this to Nokia Communicator Wink

What’s negative?
  • So far.... memory

Check out those MPX videos:

200% behind you Moh'd!

Docc, at the end of the day manufacturers R&D are financed, directly or not, by buyers if you think about it.
This is the reason why most devices improve from one version to the next.
i-mate being one of the best example!

On second thoughts, this is conclusion is very worrying: There's no doubt that Motorola's MPx is an innovative integrated device, but there are question marks against its ability to handle both telephony and handheld computing needs satisfactorily. When used in portrait mode as a mobile phone, the MPx feels bulky, while the keyboard is not up to much more than tapping the odd email or text message. The screen offers 320 by 240 pixels, but feels a little cramped at just 2.8 in. across the diagonal -- viewing complex information in landscape format was sometimes a little difficult. And as far as RAM is concerned, Motorola would be advised to provide more than the 32MB (12MB user-accessible) on our review sample

Check this znet review for more details

But Alman,

They gave it an overall rating of 8 out of 10. That means they are happy with it.

What do you think? Smile

I think the design is dead on - megapixel camera, flash, wifi, BT, small and usable it should get 8 of 10 or evn 9 of 10

The only thing at question is the power - and if it is half usable then I will jump on it. However, the next version should be a killer

I am off to the States in a few days, maybe Ill get one there - it depends on the test drive - it has to be "usable" I hate slow systems
