I got a Kaiser yesterday too from shoppers

Anyway...I got some problems...
The HTC guy told me they are selling TyTn II with Arabic software...
I tried two versions of TytnII at Gitex.: one with no arabic support (at the small HTC stand...) and the other with arabic support (the Big HTC stand) both the on screen KB and the qwerty
Anyway...
my unit does not come with any arabic software...(I got it from i2 sinceI could find any HTC stand at the shoppers)
so...I installed Imaginet suit... and it worked..
The problem is the my qwerty does not write arabic!!! only the on screen KB does...
When I try to write Arabic using the qwerty..I get English caracters!!
Any ideas??

I did not play with this little thing a lot since I have spent all day installing programs and tweaking it :P

Camera isn't that good in low light conditions…very slow…but out side it's pretty good..

Overall impressions... very nice device...I hope I can get the best out of it

BTW...I was thinking of writing a review 2... for howardforums.com...but I have been just too lazy….
if you need any help Mohammed I am all yours Wink

cheers

Hi Duke911,

Your help is always appreciated, you can help by supporting members on the forums, and your contributions are valuable. Smile

I will start using my TyTN II today after I replace my old Etisalat SIM which I am going to do in the early morning then I am heading to Gitex at World Trade Center to do some interviews and get some details.

I will share my findings later today Wink

Hi Duke911, far i know tomtom does not have any maps for middle east so maybe thats why its not included. when i am there i use destinator which does have pretty good maps although the interface is confusing and nowhere near as good as tomtom (my 2c)

I also bought my TYTN II from the Gitex as i was visiting Dubai 3 days back.
I love the device but still not able to use GPS. I installed "Destinator" but it says "GPS not found". Does anyone used GPS and if it has to be configured pleas let me know how to do it.

I use Naigion, and it works very well
Google Maps works as well, but you have to get a GPS lock using another program before using (track location) on google maps..

I used auto config.. and all went very smooth
GPS is really fast on the kaiser... about 15-20 max.. some time 10 sec!

Well GPS worked. I think the problem was the port. In the settings i changed the port and now Destinator is working as well as Navigon 6.

Yes that is true and they said I should buy it seperatly, they recommend also Route 66. I will wait for further clarifications directly from HTC top officials
