Although this review is written in French but there are tons of images and screen shots, including photos taken by the camera and a graphical presentation of the benchmark test results. Drool We have mentioned earlier that this device is going to be released here in Dubai, however the deadline have been extended and I cannot even suggest the new deadline since I am used to false promises, but I am thinking that it must be released before Gitex this year.

Also it is has the fastest CPU speed:

Fastest file system speed:

Morecry we hoped much more for this new device as I said to Docc it's a current convergence device rather than new boundries, seems I maybe right.

The HTC TyTN is even slower on CPU speed ranked at 8th position. sad

I don’t really go with the compromise in CPU speed as the user should be given the choice weather to extend battery life or not. It seems to me that the new Asus P525 has this facility built-in form the following screenshot:

Translated from the review: For the remainder, P525 de Asus also has other internal software whose launcher of application which points out the quantity of memory or remaining battery, a software of voice recognition, an automatic programme of configuration of the connector industry DATED from the terminal or a virtual machine Java while passing by a program baptized “My Secrecies” which makes it possible to protect by password a repertory from the terminal. To note concerning the layer of telephony of Asus P525 which it is more traditional, allowing all the same to rock quickly from one mode to another but not having T9 to compose a telephone number.

Though it dosen't clearly mention if you can control the CPU but it gives a hint.

Translated: Final Conclusion:
The opinion of the drafting With its dimensions which are not more compact and its absence of EDGE or 3G, PDAPhone Asus P525 could quickly be forgotten, to even pass unperceived, by the amateurs of communicating mobile terminals under Windows Mobile 5. However, with its 3 day endurance of use, its many pre software installed whose scanner of calling cards, its keyboard rather simple to use and its button “hold” which makes it possible to regard it almost as a traditional mobile telephone, P525 de Asus has many assets. With its graphic installed capacity and CPU which hoists it in the first place of all PDAPhone under currently available Windows Mobile on the market, Asus P525 is robust and has a fast and reactive operating system. To note however some defects of design of which the key “2” difficiellement accessible, too sensitive D-Pad, the numerical camera which could have been equipped with a better optics or a bad provision of certain keys in its keyboard (keys “Windows” and “OK”) PDAPhone Asus P525 is currently marketed at the price of 549 €uros including all taxes.

Do you think HTC have deliberatly slowed it down for indurance ??

I don't liks cpu clocking apps but maybe there's a case or it on the TYtn

Maybe, but it gets frustrating when you are running apps on WM5, Jasjar has slow down problems and I don’t think HTC has done a lot to change this from these results, only time will tell.

The thing I like about overcooking apps that they are giving you the choice to run the CPU at lower speed so it is up to you to extended battery life or boost the power to run some applications power hungry applications.

hi
please dont dissappoint me by telling the release date is before gitex, the ASUS P525 office here said its expected in the first week of september.
The more its delayed i think its gonna be not a good marketing for ASUS, because with no EDGE and 3G, even before its release it looks outdated...so they have to act fast. When more and more players are jumping in the bandwagon like for example in august pocket outlook 830 is also launching with UMTS.

Asus please launch it...
