"It looks like i-mate has been neglected recently by HTC - after all i-mate branded HTC Hermes Pocket PC phone still is not available - but if i-mate JAQ would be released soon this negligence could be forgotten! Shortly speaking: it looks like cheapish Windows Mobile smartphone with QWERTY keyboard - something like HTC Excalibur but without Wi-Fi! Or maybe it is just another incarnation of HTC Exaclibur? Too early to say for sure..." Source

Those people are going to confuse their consumers, just like iPAQ/HP. Million of models and 99% of them are rubish.
Why are they still using this silly processor??? Samsung 400 or the intel 520 are already in the market...Are they for real??? |

They are targetting the blackberry enterprise consumer market here and for this segment battery life is the primary criteria. Its a rather smart move to incorporate the TI 200 Mhz processor as it has been proven to be the most battery-efficient.
However, the device is rather thick (Nokia E61 like) and that will definitely be a put off to a lot of people especially with devices like the Samsung i320 and the Moto Q already available. Docc. |

I think you are right, and that explains why they are making this comparison on windows mobile web site. And it's true, it will have a longer life time, however, why don't they invest in fuel batteries instead of slow devices with silly processors? |
