Have you ever got caught speeding? Most have at some point. I know myself that when I’m driving in a 30mph zone, sometimes I don’t notice if I’m doing 35mph. Before you know it those speed cameras have stored all your details and you’re on your way to a nasty speeding fine.

You simply plug the device into your cigarette lighter. As soon as a signal is detected, the green light will show and it will beep once. When approaching an area where there are probably fixed cameras nearby, the light will turn yellow and will give two beeps. The light will turn red and beep 3 times when you are in a speed camera zone. As if that isn’t enough, when you are breaking the speed limit in these zones, the light will turn red and it will beep constantly until your speed meets the speed limit

The Mrs could do with one of these although she would probably think the red is a pretty colour so she would drive harder to keep it on rofl

I like the idea of a speeding device. I don't think this is idea for people who have tomtom since tomtom has add ons for the GPS locations of several countries like US, UK, and some 10 other countries (not Canada Cry)

I guess what I want is a radar detector that interfaces with PPC based on infrared signals.

You mean auto log locations to a file that nav software can use ?? Absolutly Way to go you would think it would be relatively simple

When i was in Dubai, i saved the radar's as POI's and whenever i would be in the vicinity of one, i would be notified about it. Lets say, it was just a temporary solution!

On a side note, DON'T ever let a cop catch you with these in Dubai as you will be heavily fined and probably even face charges along with your car being impounded.

Besides, when i was in Dubai, i couldn't speed even if i wanted to!!! Waiting hands on for the LRT project to go through quickly!!!
