You asked one of the assistants in Jumbo You should know better, try Virgin and Gagetworld although they only advertised V4 (don't get this one) they may have V5.

V5 is still not available here in the middle-east. You will need to order the maps online. Its cheaper as you can purchase maps depending on your requirement unlike here in Dubai where you will have to buy the whole pack containing maps of US/Europe/Middle-East.

And GPS hasn't really taken off here int he middle-east YET so not many vendors will have a good idea about it. As Steve has suggested, take a look at Virgin, Axiom, Plug-ins and GW

P.S. You could consider UAEnavigator from http://www.informap.ae. It costs only AED 400 and has a very good coverage of the UAE and support for other middle-eastern states are in the pipeline

I just bought EasyNav in Deira City Center (at Axiom store).
PocketMap Navigator is not recognizing the HP's GPS device!
Additionally, it was hard to register the software because of the 240x240 screen.

Anyone know how to get the GPS working on the HP6515 with EasyNAv?

I take it in Easynav set up you can select a com port usually 4 or 8 and specify a baud rate etc ? look at the original config you had for destinator and use the same for Easynav. Some products like navigon allow you to specify an internal or external GPS, look fot this option too.

The HP 6515 comes with the navigator software free - since it has GPS in it. But for maps (Middle East) you need to pay the price. Which means the basic bundle package doesnt have the MAPS in it. Will post more information soon...........

any update dude on the maps and the prices ??????????

I have an iPAQ 6515 and I did not purchase it from Dubai. It did not come with the mini wi-fi card and no GPS software.

Where can I get a hold of this stuff in Dubai? Also, from some of the threads I understand that Navigon is the best software for it...so where can I get that? Is it possible to download this off the web?

I have been to Plug-ins, Jumbo and Al-Sharaf - they have never heard of GPS software (deer in the headlights look!).

Plugins in AD sell Navigon but only Version 4 bundled with the GPS reciver etc, You don't want this make sure you get V5 from Gadgetworld. Also go to GPSpassion.com for useful info.
