According to BargainPDA they have posted the following statement from a Project Manager within HP:

“OK we saw the pictures. Problem this device was a testing device. I am sorry to say that this device will not make it to the consumer market.Also we have notified pocket pc italia to remove their pics and story. We will not release any pda with gsm anytime soon. Sorry.”

Currently I cannot confirm this information but it could be true, because it happened before! Remember the h5600 series iPAQ which was canceled! I don’t want to jump into conclusions before I get some replies from official HP representatives in the Middle East.

This is strange since you mentioned earlier that an HP Middle East representative informed you of its availablity in Dubai by July 2004! Anyway, this could be just a rumour! Confused
