A Friend told me it was released a day ago in dubai. He got to use it somewhere in Gargash centre.

Im holding my plans for the JAM after reading about some issues related to it.

I might go for the ipaq coz of the form, hp brand, good camera (better than jam) and supposedly better battery life. Got that feedback from my friend.

Can anyone post some details or find a proper review of the device.

I really doubt if it wud be commercially available here so quickly. However, i will find out and let u know.

There is a possibility that ur friend mite have got to play with a proto. To be able to identify a proto, all u have to do is remove the battery, and instead of an IMEI, u will find "prototype" along with "property of...." written. Maybe he can go n take a look again and let us know.

The HP 6700 seems like a sweeter deal as it will support WiFi natively. Contradictory to what people thought, the 6700 WILL support GPS also natively, so all in all seems like a great package. But i guess, only time will tell.

Guys, I live in Dubai and this morning paid a visit to Gargash Centre. No one heard of the HP 6500!! which shop was it that had it?

As i mentioned, its not out and if it is, it must have been a proto who some shop was tryin to stick to someone. Beware of such dealers please.

i am just moving to the UK and have bought a HW6915. This has TomTom preinstalled on it which does not have UAE. Could someone tell me where and how I could get some GPS software and maps. Navigon does not have middle east maps on their website. Can I overwrite TomTom with another software?
