Hi JayJay,

Welcome to PPCD Smile

You can purchase gulf maps online from the Navigon webstore at the link mentioned below:

https://www.navigon.com/site/int/en/shop/consumer/clevermap

Regarding Destinator and TomTom, you can purchase maps from their respective websites. Destinator has partnered with HP to provide maps for the UAE which should be available soon.

There are 2 versions of the HP6515 going around, one with the maps and one without them. Its best you ask the retailer you purchased the device from as they will be able to guide you best.

You cannot purchase Destinator maps online for the Middle-East as they aren't available.

Regarding the 69XX, i am quite sure, they will follow the same route as the 65XX.

thx again
the retailers are very ignorant regarding gps software and maps issue
I think you meant "software" not "maps" when u were talking about the two versions ""one with the MAPS one without them""??
Could u please tell me WHAT retailer i can go to and get the version with DESTINATOR software.
I take from u that DESTINATOR uae maps might be available soon, so I think its better to buy 6515 with DESTINATOR software atleast, WHAT do u THINK???
And my previuos question, please guide me as to what should i buy to get started if i decide to go with NAVIGON..is it there "SOFTWARE ONLY VERSION" as i put in the link below PLUS GULF MAPS..is that right

Also, a guy earlier said he bought "EASYNAV", do you know if that is compatible with 6515

jayjay,

Warm welcome to PPCD.

Regarding the 6515, HP is supposed to release the device with MAPS (as Docc mentioned)... but there is a BIG delay in the dates. If you can wait for few more days... then you can find them on the showrooms...

All the best

Hi JayJay,

Thats right, i meant software, thanks for correcting me there Smile

As SKP has mentioned that availability is impending, i suggest you hold on to your wallet for some more time Wink

Regarding Navigon, you can buy the gulf maps software from the link i posted earlier, there is no need to buy the mobile navigator software.

Regarding EasyNav, i haven't heard much about it or come across anyone using it, so can't comment on it, sorry.

MyeasyNav I tried to find out about it some months back to see if it was WM5 compatable but no answer from them, so I put them down as unreliable for support.

Hmmm, i remember seeing their software at an Axiom store, gathering dust if i might add. It was also priced at around AED 800, now that i think of it. Ok i'm out, thats all i can actually remember about it.
