Can someone please tell me how to setup the HP Ipaq 1940 to connect through the GPRS of the phone to check email and browse the web. I have been long time user of Palm PDA's and they have an excellent Phone link which does everything for you.

Etisalat has been ( u guys can guess ) what kind of help. They faxed me the settings 7 times. It just ate all of my fax paper !!!!!

I have the K750i phone from SE.

Somebody please help how the hell do u set this ?????

Thanks

Well first you need to subscribe to GPRS from Etisalat. If I am not wrong, to do that you have to dial 122 for WASEL and 125 for GSM connection and follow the instructions. Please confirm the numbers. In 24 hours you will get the SMS that your subscribtion is accepted. Then on your phone you will see GPRS indicator that GPRS service is available with your connection. Check your phone manual for the icon of GPRS.

Now for making GPRS connection on the phone basically you need to enter only one thing i.e. Access Point Name. I have never owned SE so I can't guide you how to do this in your phone but it will be something like:

Make new Connection > GPRS connection and then somewhere in the settings you will be asked Access Point. So enter "mnet" for GSM connection or "waselmnet" for WASEL connection. Leave all other fields blank.

It should work Cool
