"We users of IPAQ H19xx, H22xx, H38xx, H39xx, H41xx, H5xxx series computing devices are requesting that Hewlett Packard offer a reasonable commercial Windows Mobile 2003 Second edition for Pocket PC upgrade service or software package for these IPAQ series handheld computers."

I totally support this petition and I'm personally going to sign it. Let HP hear from you go ahead and sign this petition. I hope this will entice them to change their decision. After all we know HP for their excellent customer service.

I don’t think HP will listen to their customers requesting for SE upgrade. They are shaking their customer trust which is could severely affect their future market share. So Hp Will not offer SE upgrade because the sales of their new models will be negatively affected. I think HP customers nowadays will only consider buy an iPAQ if they are confident there will be future upgrades, that’s if they will buy the new devices anyway. Confused

Hi,

have alook at theis link

http://www.brighthand.com/article/Windows_Mobile_SE_Upgrades_No_Big_Deal

I tend to agree that the upgrade to SE will not bring as much as using the addowns...just my 2 cents

BTW Major jumps ie from WM2003 to SE would cost more as M$ wants money for the upgrade..and as discussed else where most older devices are not compatable from a hardware perspective so upgrading is not an option... sad

I hope Microsoft play a bigger role in this case, their support is really essential and after all we are using a Windows based device. I agree, it is an expensive process.

I don't think you should feel bad about this issue, it is not really a big deal, read the discussion on this thread:
