i dont know this is because of what ..

but this is some problems i faced with Falme

1- overall feeling it's slow
2- response to the power button if SLOW
3- after reset some SMS just got deleted
4- arabic support is weak
when i recieve sms in arabic, it appear correct in notification and in inbox list, but when you open it it shows boxes
5- in the dialing screen, the right key doesnt go to call history and left doesnt go to speed dial
6- the OK button is not mapped to the cental button, you have to mapped mannualy to one of the soft keys...
8- i tried the wirless connection with my old imate, the imate connected to internet thru wirless but the flame didnt

9- VOICE has Distortion when you enable the SRS.. and this is killing point

10- the battery drains faster than my old imate PDA2K

i'm still doing further tests .... this is all with ONLY standart programs ...
i did install some from SBP programs and i had to hard reset because of SLOWNESS and it HANGED somethimes


any one has comments on all that

There are many complains from O2 users related to new O2 devices and this is also another I guess these issues must be reported to O2 service center since these are un-common problems espcialy with new devices

The XDA is a good phone if you have big fingers. For item 1, the slowness is due to the memory of some application which is still loaded and not release.
Item 2, the power item is slow. it has been documented in a few reviews (but its not that critical)
Item 3, Its not known to delete a few messages if you reset.
Item 4, Never tried that.. So no solution
Item 5, Better send to the place where you purchase it from. Not known to do that
Item 6, Never tried that
Item 8, It works well to me, can you check your router. Perhaps the Mac Address is being used as filter. Just like me.
Item 9, Dont use it at max volume for SRS. It will have some static. Tune one notch from max
Item 10, Battery drains due to the brightness of the screen. I tune to level 3, where it last me for 2 days on reasonable calls. 1 hours talk time total for a day.

I like the flame a lot but unfortunately, where I stay, the GPRS is giving me a problem. I called O2 in Singapore and they have yet to give me a solution or an alternative solution. I wrote an article on my blog.

The worry part for is that, O2 NSO (National Sales Office) tends to focus on selling the phone but no customer support when real problems creep up. I sent my Flame to the service center and furthermore but the problem still remains.

The mentioned that they have sent it to their "EXPERTS" in HQ but so far, I hear nothing from them. The customer service said that the manager will call me but never did.

I hope this information would prep you up for some of the "adventures" ahead of you incase you face it.

I shall follow Mohammed style in the response:
Item 1: It is really slow. Sometimes I need to wait seconds after each click.
Item 2: I have not noticed.
Item 3: I noticed that, some SMS got deleted with no reason!
Item 4: I feel so. I used to use i-mate with Arabization from Imaginet. At least some of that was better.
Item 5: I have not noticed.
Item 8: Working fine with WiFi.
Item 9: Sound is very bad and unclear if I use the I make the "Speaker On"
Item 10: The battery drains very very fast. I do agree.

In addition:
1. I could not make MMS working with all of my trials with Qtel here in Doha and O2 in Dubai.
2. Hangs a lot and for no reason.
3. The remote control -which is a nice feature-, does not work!

I am also trying with more trials.
