Hi ive just bought a PDA2k and the language in it is Arabic , since i dont know arabic i would like to change it to English. Your help is needed in this matter.

All you need to do is download the WWE (worldwide english) ROM from clubimate and install it to your device. Done!

Steps to install the ROM,

1) First of all hard-reset your device so that there is no junk left behind from previous installs. You can hard-reset by pressing the power button and the soft-reset button at the same tim.

2) Place the device in the cradle which i presume is already connected to your computer. Please see the activesync is installed on your computer and is enabled (check USB enabled in properties)

3) It will ask to setup a partnership, click on "Guest".

4) You are now ready to begin the process. Double click on the installer that you downloaded from the above mentioned link. It will automatically reset your device and start the process. The whole process should take roughly about 10 minutes or so.

PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE OR RESET OR FOR THAT MATTER TOUCH YOUR DEVICE WHEN THE UPGRADE IS GOIN ON.

Once its over, you will receive a notification on your computer that the process is now complete.

5) Remove your device from the cradle and soft-reset. You will now come to the device setup screen. From there on, you will be able to figure it out yourself

Aaa one more stupid question from me as well , can i control my desktop pc via my pda2k ?? , ive been searching and i havnt yet found any software . Ive been doing this thing with my nokia 6600 using Control Freak software , which allows me to use my 6600 as a control for winamp and i can use my pc via bluetooth .

It wont work on the EVDO version because these ROM's dont have the necessary software for EVDO incorporated in them.

There is a software called Winampaq which does the same. Regarding controlling your PC from your desktop, you can setup a terminal services client and actually run all your desktop applications through your PDA. However, this is a bit more complicated as you would need a server n so on...

well i downloaded the file from the link , its a .rar file , extracted files to a folder , now what do i do , i mean ive connected the device with Standard connection forgot to make it "Guest" . Now what do i do ??? Hard set the device ?
