U can use a BT GPS with the PDA2k. Works perfectly fine with it.
PDA2k EV-DO is a CDMA version of the PDA2k. As far as i know only sprint in the US are offering EV-DO. Blazingggggg speeds, which obliviates the need for WiFi, but most people would prefer the WiFi version as almost evryone nowadays has WiFi at home.... Docc. |

quote: Hi. kumarsps, you could one of the SDIO GPS receivers for your PDA2k but since the memory card slot will be occupied by the receiver, you will have to store your maps on RAM. For the car versions you could however have your maps on the memory card since the PDA2k data connectors (at the bottom) will be used to connect to the receiver. Or you could use a GPS receiver with BT connectivity so that you continue using memory card, data connection (for syncing, car charge, etc) and use the GPS while you are mobile. Check this. and this and this and this and this. But there are many more out there. When you buy the PDA2k make sure you download and upgrade your ROM with the latest version on club imate site. Also, you may need a BT headset as the first accessory for your PDA2k, please make sure you buy the one that's best suited for the PDA2k as per the thread you will find on this forum. |

some how I just dont like the PDA2K because I tink it really big!
I have an Imate PPC phone edition and I think its big now they come up with another device thats even bigger (because of the keyboard) Last week I was thinking of buying the JAM, but they say they will come up with new Iamte divices this year W2005CE. So I will wait for that. This is my piont of view |

The PDA2k is bigger because most of it is the screen which some users will find good esp. those who are more into the PDA thing. Otherwise smartphones are the ones that people wanting more phone features and compact size would choose. The keyboard slides in and out and stays out of the way most of the time and is helpful if you enter text a lot and hate stylus. Size wise I do not think it is any bigger than earlier Qtek 1010 or 2020 devices. New buyers must therefore carefully decide before they buy because Pocket PC phones are indeed big as Anas pointed out and can sometimes be cumbersome to carry around esp. if you only use it as a glorified phone. But if you are looking for an all in one convergence device that does PDA, Internet, Fax, Various Documents, Database, Camera, Video; then I guess the choice in favour of the Pocket PC phones is quite clear.
