Is it true that Windows Mobile 2003 cannot handle more than 32 processes simultaneously!!

Read more about it here: http://www.ppcw.net/index.php?itemid=1645

Have you experienced something like this with your ppc?

I read that article Fargo, and it all seems theoratical to me. My cousin actually uses an application called small menu to ensure that if he opens any program beyond the 4th one, the initial one closes automatically. Do you really want to run 32 processes simultaneously?

I was about to buy from Jackys, but I paid some extra 200 riyals and got it from local store yesterday (you know, eCommPhobia Bangin)

I really find the 32 process limit extremely ridiculous! What if I want to run lots of background processes as mentioned in the article?

Assalamu'alaikum.
I am new in this forum. About to purchase the xda 2 during lunch just now ....till i got to know about the 32 application limitation. As per my reading, it will always have 27 application runing on the background...is this true. Any of you have any REAL problem with this limitation? The cost in M'sia is RM3400 with no Quran CD. What is the price in Dubai? Any good news on the faxing s'ware?

Wassalam

zam,

I don't see this as a major problem and a solution can be provided by Microsoft. It costs in Dubai AED 2850 to AED 2950, thats $774.4 to $802 US Dollars. The Fax application is discussed here. Smile

Mohd,
Therefor, microsoft commit to patch this up for free? In Malaysia, the XDA 2 is not bundled with the pocket quran. If we install the the image net pocket quran will it be occupying all the the 128M RAM? BTW, if I were to purchase the unit fr Dubai, will it carry an internatinal warranty?

Thx

Yup, so you should install it on a storage card.

There is no international warranty for i-mate, butn only if Carrier Devices will have a service center abroad.
