Hi all,
I did download the firmware upgrade (rom 0037) from the smartdevices.com site, the file is called:
EUU_M500_WWE_R05_100_0037.exe
and is about 28 mb in size.

well, I double clicked the file on my pc while my everex E900 was connected to it.
It transfered the firmware to the ppc alright.
Then when it came to installing it on my pocket pc it reported the following error:
This os is not suitable for this hardware.
and it halted! I had a heart stopping moment ... but did a Hard Reset and thankfully my baby boot up again with the familiar 0033 firmware whew.

I had also tried downloading the new rom 0037 ETen M500 from http://www.trendsmobile.com
you login with your imie no. and your serial no. at the back of your phone (behind the battery) and then supposedly you can download the rom. But the site just wouldn't accept my imie and serial no.! I guess the ETen M500 rom is different from the everex E900?!

I gone through the everexme.com site can't find rom download... so ppl where can we download the new rom ?

If anyone with an everex E900 has gotten any different results from the above could you kindly share (step by step, some of us are a little slow that way

a month ago, i was facing the same problem no updates no support no nothing. I had to search for the update all over the net until i got lucky with someone who gave me the details about everything. Luckily, you won't have to go through this :-)

ppl are saying we might beable to upgrade to windows mobile 2005 and it might even be for free for the Eten ppl. Wonder if we'll get it too?

Two questions:

1. If you install ROM Image/Latest 100_0041 (With Arabizer) to your E900, does it make the menus in Arabic? I use it in English.
2. Is it worth to perform a ROM Upgrade from 37 to 41?
