I got my everex for a cheap price, but I can see a msg saying :

I tried to reset it , the o/s don't load and it's just giving me the same screnn what should I do? Can I flash it or how can I skip this screen.. Plz I need ur help here, this is my first question here :S

Hi RamRam,

Most probably your Everex Pocket PC (PPC) had been upgraded to the latest ROM update for MS Windows Mobile edition. Try hard resetting it first.

If hard resetting doesnt work you need to Flash it with the latest ROM.

Check out the manual that came along with the Everex PPC on how to update the ROM. The procedure is almost similar on all PPC's, using MS Active Sync.
Here is the procedure that I followed when I had similar screen which said " USB Ver1.00 "
on my i-mate JAM,

Before you go ahead with this procedure, install the latest version of MS Active Sync, v3.8, on your computer. Also download the latest ROM version from Everex website,if available.
Download English MS Active Sync v3.8

First I hard reset my JAM.

Second I connected the USB cable

Third I chose "Guest" partnership on MS Active Sync window prompt

fourth After getting connected I ran the RUU installer

Hope this works for you too.

If none of this makes sense, your device is still under warranty, better get it serviced from the vendor itself.

Well I just figured out what was with this Everex E500

The coz it wasn't the upgraded ROM at all, the problem was the POWER Buttom, weird no? I opened the everex and checked out everything till I got my eye on the Power buttom switch, it was totaly smached it just looked like a paper,lol anyway i brought another power switch soldered it and now it's back to business but the first thing to do on the morning am going to sell it!!, I hated this device from the first 1 hour, I thought it had something special, "Sorry guys for that"

But still my Imate is much wayyyyyyy better , thanks for the help...guys.

But still something b4 I sell it, from where could I get the newest rom to flash it?

....I didnt get the idea about the power button, well great that you found it and better yet you are selling it.

I checked out Everex website, no mention of where to get the ROM Update from, still looking..... even though i dont have a E500.

It's alright my friend, I looked over google didn't find a rom yet as well.. Anyway I don't have a Jam , I have the Himalaya "PH10B",I used to have the PDA2K I sold it, it's a shity device, thus I'm waiting Imate to release the ALPINE ,anyway if you'd like to have a gr8 experience for ur device I think the last place and the first to check is www.xda-developers.com, if you are registered already, then you're one of the luckiest ppl to get the best roms, infos, softwares and first of all the best support to our devices
