Hi all, i have recently hard reset my m500 due to it locking up after trying several demo programs. i have sprite backups from before and want to recover only my appointments (contacts active synced ok). i use fusion agenda 8. but, i cant see what i have to restore from the backup. i dont use outlook. ideally i would like to integrate with current appointments. any help appreciated.

best option wuld be to use the Outlook for appointment / contacts / notes / tasks syncing.

Else you can also try SPB Backup :-) Its free to try for 5 times. This has a option to partial backup & restore

thanks saravana, sprite can partial restore and has a desktop archive explorer, could load spb backup as i will only need it once but which files do i need? maybe have to load outlook anyway as i am switching to vista on my laptop.

vista is pants, looks good but more overbloated software from ms. staying with xp, anybody know how to recover only appointments form a sprite or spb backup?

this is what i did, backed up pda with sprite backup. synced with outlook express on work pc. reset pda and reloaded older backup. copied pim.vol to sd card (use file explorer as resco wil not copy it). restored recent backup then replaced pim.vol and resynced. job done.
couldnt see pim.vol using sprite backup file explorer (or any other .vol), maybe cause its hidden?

I assume nothing had changed and latest Pim was what you wanted but with a clean restore of progs etc.

I always back-up a vigin install ie when I found what I finally want I but every thing on as clean copy and back this up. A bit like making it a auto restore point for after a hard reset

As you found only the pim/contacts can be a problem but not if you synch regualry.
